About
A practical idealist at my core, I am driven by the belief that design has a profound impact in and on the world. As a UX designer and researcher, I seek to learn from, advocate for, and empower users in order to ensure that impact is positive, thoughtful, and responsive.
I love to learn and feel most at home when I’m applying creative problem-solving to complex concepts and ideas. I find joy in collaborative and empathetic processes, and in better understanding of the people and world around me.
I currently work at the National Center for Supercomputing Applications at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, creating zero-to-one digital products with applications across healthcare, scientific, and social impact domains.
Previously, I created research and design solutions at Mayo Clinic, the Pacific Northwest National Laboratory, and Shelter Architecture. I earned bachelors degrees in Studio Art and Mathematics from St. Olaf College and hold a UX Design Certificate from Prime Digital Academy.
When I’m not designing, you can find me playing tennis, bouldering, trying not to fall off my mountain bike (with mixed results), or at the beach playing frisbee with my dog (and best friend) Riley.
